After years of watching dogs get rushed through group walks with five other pups they've never met, Shar Stevenett decided enough was enough. She built Dogs Run This City from the ground up — a premium, boutique dog walking service for owners who refuse to settle for average.

We're based in the heart of Trinity Bellwoods and we know every park, every squirrel shortcut, and every good sniffing spot in the west end. Every dog gets one walker. Always the same one. Because trust matters.

Do you walk more than one dog at a time?

Every walk is 100% private — just your dog, or your dogs. We never mix dogs from different households. Your pack gets our Pack Leader's full attention, every single time.

Which Toronto neighbourhoods do you serve?

We currently serve Trinity Bellwoods, Roncesvalles, Parkdale, West Queen West, Little Portugal, Dufferin Grove, Beaconsfield Village, Brockton Village, Lansdowne, and Queen West.

Are your dog walkers insured and background checked?

Yes. Every Pack Leader is fully insured, bonded, and background checked before they hold a leash in our name. We also require pet first aid certification.

How do I get started?

Book a free, zero-pressure Meet & Greet. We come to you, meet your dog, and build a plan together. No commitment until it feels right.

Do you provide updates during the walk?

Absolutely. After every walk you'll receive a post-walk Pupdate including GPS route, photos, and a note on how your dog did.

How much does dog walking in Toronto cost?

Private walks start from $28 for 30 minutes and $48 for 60 minutes. Drop-in visits from $22. Overnight stays from $85. Contact us for a custom quote.

What if my dog is reactive or has special needs?

We specialise in working with dogs that need extra care and patience. Our Pack Leaders are trained in reactive dog handling and will work with you to create a plan that suits your dog's specific needs.

Do you offer holiday and travel care?

Yes. We offer overnight stays and extended holiday care so your dog stays comfortable in a familiar, loving environment while you're away. Custom pricing available — reach out to discuss your needs.
